Working once more with John Laing Construction Ltd. C J Furey Construction Ltd successfully undertook the excavation, civil and structural aspects of the project. A high degree of accuracy was required in order to meet the structural engineers requirements of this imaginative and impressive architectural design.

The Warwickshire Golf Club, Leek Wootton
Client/Main contractor ... Pellikaan Construction
C.J. Furey Construction were involved in the construction of the new clubhouse to the Warwickshire Golf and Country Club and were appointed by principal contractor Pellikaan Construction to provide groundworks and civil engineering services to the project. This project involved extensive earthmoving and deep basement and tanking works essential for the new clubhouse to become operational. As a result The Warwickshire Golf Club has a brand new facility which will enable them to continue to host major national and local golf tournaments as well as increasing the commercial appeal of the course.

Powergen HQ (Eon Offices), Coventry

The two main buildings forming the Powergen Headquarters were undertaken by John Laing Construction Ltd and C J Furey Construction Ltd were fortunate in being awarded all of the excavation, structural concrete and infrastructure work.

Morrisons, Stratford-upon-Avon

Once more working with John Laing Construction we were appointed as the approved groundworks and civils contractor undertaking various packages involved in the construction of the superstore for the then Safeway group. Our scope of works included foundation and substructure installation, hard landscaping, street furniture installation, highways alterations, tank installation and concrete works.

The NEC, Birmingham

The National Exhibition Centre Birmingham is an iconic development built in the 1980s and it was to a large extent responsible for putting Birmingham on the map. It is the largest exhibition facility in the UK and hosts many world class events.

Our company has worked extensively at the NEC with contracts ranging from general building works and maintenance to the construction of the largest exhibition hall on the site working again with John Laing Construction. As a locally based company we were delighted to be involved with the NEC and are always proud to be involved with the major projects in our locality.

David Lloyd Racquets Centre, Shirley
Client/Main contractor ... Pellikaan Construction (Tilburg)
Only recently opened to the public, this David Lloyd Racquet and Fitness Club at Shirley was the seventh for that client involving C J Furey Construction Ltd.

Pellikaan Construction (Tilburg) appointed C J Furey for all of the extensive excavation, civil, and structural concrete work, together with the surrounding infrastructure.

Campanile Hotel & Bistro, Aston, Birmingham

Working with Pellikaan Construction we constructed the French based Campanile group's first hotel in the UK. This project had some unique design and build issues to contest with particularly involving the canal adjacent to the structure which were overcome to great success and to the delight of the client; demonstrating our ability to recognise potential problems early and provide reliable, cost effective solutions to complex building issues.

Aston Science Park, Birmingham

Wates Construction Ltd undertook this new office accommodation at the Aston Science Park and have appointed C J Furey Construction Ltd for all of the major works including excavation, structural concrete, and the extensive structural steelwork required on the project.

Wildmore Spa and Health club,
Stratford-upon-Avon

Working again with Pellikaan Construction we constructed a high spec, exclusive health club with the emphasis of our works focused upon the external areas and substructure works including difficult statutory service provisions involving large excavations and innovative solutions ranging from 'grey' water waste recycling to large diameter service installations all to the satisfaction of the client.
